Where Have I Been? Let Me Tell You…

Time to Read:
It’s been a hot minute–so where have I been? The last couple of months have been a whirlwind, and I wanted to take a moment to catch you up on what I’ve been working on. Spoiler alert: it’s been a mix of creativity, collaboration, and some exciting new ventures!
Life happens, even I, as a one-woman-powerhouse, can’t keep up with everything, so sometimes I have to drop the ball in one area to keep the rest going. But I always come back with more updates and plenty to share!
Motherhood
As an entrepreneur, balancing work and family can be a challenge—actually clocking out sometimes feels impossible. The biggest demands on my time aren’t always business-related; they’re the moments spent at home, nurturing my children, my marriage, and the life we’re building together. And I wouldn’t trade that for all the success in the world.
This season has been one of incredible growth, not just professionally, but personally, as we navigate the shift into the nearly adolescent years with our eldest while our youngest just crossed into year eight. These days aren’t just about providing and protecting—they’re about fostering independence, curiosity, and connection. It’s a transition from meeting their every need to standing beside them as they discover who they are, with all their wild ideas and boundless wonder.
Motherhood (and Fatherhood) is an investment unlike any other—one that takes relentless time and energy, but pays dividends in laughter, love, and the joy of watching them step into the world with confidence. And that’s a return I’ll always show up for.
Design Projects
One thing that keeps me busy behind the scenes is interior and exterior space planning. I work with contractors, business owners, and individuals to maximize their spaces—whether it’s a full-scale renovation or a simple refresh to make a home or workspace more functional. But here’s the thing… I don’t actively advertise this service.
Why? Because I want to keep it fun.
I don’t take on every project, and I like to keep my availability open for the right fits. If you ever need help reworking a space and think I’d be a good fit, drop me a line! I’d love to hear about your project and see if I can help make your vision a reality.
Leadership Book
I’ve also been knee-deep in editing a book, and let me tell you—this one is a game-changer.
It’s written by a friend of mine and dives deep into leadership and service within the Christian church. But don’t scroll away just yet! Even if that’s not your usual read, I encourage any business owner, manager, or leader in any capacity to check it out.
Leadership is leadership, no matter the setting. This book offers insights that can be applied in boardrooms, businesses, and any organization that values people-first leadership. It’s available in Kindle, paperback, and hardback, so if you’re looking for a thought-provoking read, I highly recommend it.

Summary
Not everyone is called to lead from the front, and those who serve from second place carry a calling just as vital, rewarding, and impactful. Drawing from decades of ministry experience, Bob Hallam reveals the power of thriving from second place, offering practical insights, personal stories, and timeless principles that will inspire and equip you to embrace your role with excellence. While rooted in a ministry context, these lessons transcend the church, empowering anyone in a supporting position to lead well, serve faithfully, and contribute meaningfully to the success of their organization. Second place isn’t less—it’s essential. This is your invitation to step boldly into your calling and make a lasting impact from where you stand.
Non-Profit Work
In addition to the book project, I’ve been working on several website projects for various clients. One way I love to give back is by offering my services to nonprofits when I have the capacity, and this one found me! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to help this incredible nonprofit in Uganda get their website up and running, giving them a platform to share their mission and expand their impact.
Meet Lion of Judah Children’s Home, a brand-new initiative working to provide orphaned children with housing, education, and healthcare in an extremely rural area of Uganda. These kids are currently living on the streets, struggling to feed themselves, let alone dreaming of an education or a stable future.
This organization is actively fundraising to build the campus that will house and care for these children, and they need all the support they can get. If you feel led to give, even a small one-time donation can make a real impact. Their mission is life-changing, and I encourage you to check out their website and learn more about how you can help. Their director, Becky Rusyn, is based right here in the heart of Upstate South Carolina—when she’s not boots-on-the-ground in Uganda with these beautiful souls.
Our mission is to help orphans and vulnerable children by providing them with a nurturing, educational environment in the name of Jesus Christ.
